Public
From the RFQ to the Final Report
- City halls and government offices
- Libraries
- Community and recreation centres
- Convention and civic centres
- Fire stations
- Police stations
- Courthouses
- Correctional and military facilities
Municipalities, school districts, health authorities, Crown corporations and the B.C. government post contract opportunities on BC Bid, the Province's online procurement marketplace. We respond to RFQs and RFPs for public buildings with the scope, pricing and documents they ask for. Recent public-sector projects include work at Vancouver Island Regional Library in Nanaimo, School District 72 (Campbell River) and School District 63 (Saanich).
Once the work is awarded, we plan it with your facilities staff around public hours, shift changes and any security rules. Every job ends with a Certificate of Completion and a before-and-after photo report for the facility file, so your asset and maintenance records show what was cleaned and when.
What Public Buildings Need From a Contractor
Paperwork procurement checks
Public RFQs typically ask for proof of insurance, WorkSafeBC standing and certifications. We respond with the documents each RFQ lists. WorkSafeBC warns that if a contractor isn't making its required payments, whoever hired it could be liable for premiums on that work, so ask any contractor for a clearance letter.
Controlled access
Police stations, courthouses, correctional and military sites decide who comes in and where they can go. We send crew names ahead of time, follow your sign-in and escort rules, and work only in the zones you open to us.
24-hour stations and public hours
Fire and police stations are staffed around the clock, so we clean one zone or one air handler at a time and keep heating and ventilation running in the rest of the building. Libraries, city halls and recreation centres keep set public hours. There we start after closing and keep equipment out of public areas while the doors are open.
A record for the maintenance file
Section 4.78 of WorkSafeBC's Occupational Health and Safety Regulation requires the employer, or the owner of the ventilation system, to run a preventive maintenance program that includes cleaning ducts when needed to correct an indoor air quality problem. Our photo report records which systems and areas were cleaned, how, and anything we noticed that needs attention.

- Vancouver Island Regional Library (Nanaimo)

How We Work
Our team is forklift and rope access certified, so rooftop units, high-ceiling ductwork and industrial ventilation are all in scope.
Site Review & Scheduling
- We walk the site or review drawings before quoting, and plan the work around your occupants: nights, weekends or phased by floor.
Protection & Safety
- Drop cloths, corner guards and signage go up first. Our crews follow lockout/tag-out and confined-space procedures and are WorkSafeBC compliant.
Source-Removal Cleaning
- HEPA-filtered negative-air vacuuming and compressed-air agitation through supply, return and exhaust ductwork, to the NADCA ACR Standard.
Equipment & Components
- AHUs, MAUs and RTUs, coils, VAV boxes, diffusers and grilles cleaned as scoped. New access openings are closed to SMACNA and UL 181 requirements.
Certificate & Photo Report
- Every job ends with a Certificate of Completion and a before-and-after photo report for your facility file: what was cleaned, where, and anything we noticed that needs attention.
Guides
For Facility and Property Managers
Do you respond to BC Bid RFQs?
Yes. Send us the BC Bid listing or the RFQ and we'll respond with scope, pricing and the documents it asks for.
What comes with your RFQ response?
The scope, pricing and the documents the RFQ asks for. Send us the BC Bid listing or the RFQ and we'll tell you what we'll include before the closing date.
Can you work in a police station, courthouse or other secure building?
Yes, under the rules your site sets: sign-in, escorts, restricted zones and named crew members. Tell us the requirements when you ask for a quote and we'll plan the crew and schedule around them.
Can a fire station stay in service while you clean?
Yes. We clean one zone or one air handler at a time, so the rest of the station keeps its heating and ventilation, and we keep the apparatus bay clear for calls.
How is a public building job priced?
Each building is quoted on its own after a site review or a look at the mechanical drawings. Send us the RFQ or a short description of the building, and we'll get back to you within an hour to set up a walkthrough.
